About REM Therapy Services
Our Mission is to positively transform how people see themselves and the world around them.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is a type of psychotherapy that uses rapid eye movement (REM) and brain stimulation for the treatment of anxiety, panic, depression, phobias, trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR is a type of therapy that taps into and rewires the brain to think about traumas or worries in lighter, more positive ways.

EMDR Therapist
Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of serving resilient and wonderful people carrying the invisible weight of past trauma. My transition into the mental health field began after volunteering in Boston with an outreach group providing hot meals and clean socks to people living outside. Hearing their stories sparked my curiosity about how people assemble a version of recovery after impairing life experiences, which led me to pursue a Master’s degree with an emphasis on trauma recovery. I later worked at a domestic violence crisis center where leadership prioritized training interns, giving me direct experience supporting survivors of crimes, relationship ruptures, and everything in between.
Learning about EMDR ignited a strong desire to understand an approach that could facilitate the kind of healing I was searching for. During my time at the crisis center, I was able to witness the shift and clarity that EMDR can create. Experiencing its impact firsthand shaped the direction of my work, and I’ve been grateful for the opportunity to offer EMDR to people seeking deep, meaningful healing.
Outside of work and family life, I enjoy playing the guitar, listening to comedy podcasts, and creative writing.

EMDR Therapist
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, and over the past 23 years I have dedicated my work to the field of mental health. I’ve provided therapeutic interventions for adolescents, adults, and families navigating complex mental health challenges, and have worked across hospital, outpatient, in-home, and community-based settings.
I became interested in EMDR when I was confronted by the inability, as a clinician, to assist clients to move forward in their healing journey, solely using traditional talk therapy. EMDR and somatic approaches helped me discover the missing piece in my own journey as a therapist, and have allowed me to support others in shifting from feeling stuck toward a more holistic mind-body path to improved mental health and healing.
When I’m not working or with family, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors.
Grace Kim, MSW, RSW
Please note that Grace is only accepting new clients for EMDR Intensive treatment at this time.
I became a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in response to a passion I have for helping others. Over the past 14 years, I’ve worked in hospital, outpatient clinic, in-home, and community-based settings supporting children, adults, and families through some of life’s most difficult challenges.
I had a turning point when I first learned about EMDR therapy in 2017. EMDR intrigued me, so I sought training in the years that followed and continue to train to this day. I also experienced the life-changing impact of EMDR as a client myself. I struggled with unresolved childhood trauma and didn’t realize how deeply those experiences still affected me until they were exposed in therapy. EMDR helped me heal, restore relationships, and move forward so I could live more fully and abundantly. I strongly stand behind the value of this work, which ultimately led me to start REM Therapy Services to offer this type of support to others looking for that reset.
Outside of work and family life, I enjoy cooking, breadmaking, and hanging out with horses.
