Looking for a Male EMDR Therapist? Meet our new team member in Ontario
I hope you’re enjoying a lovely start to the fall season. I’m excited to share an important update from REM Therapy Services.
It’s official: We’ve grown into a small-group therapy practice! I’m delighted to welcome Will Jamara, RP (Qualifying), LCMHC, as an associate therapist. Originally from Massachusetts and Vermont, Will now lives here with his family. He is EMDR-trained and brings a rich background in private practice and community mental health, crisis intervention, homeless outreach, and group work with court-mandated clients.
Will has a strong passion for trauma healing and has seen first-hand how EMDR transforms lives. He’s now focused on deepening his EMDR expertise, making him an excellent fit for our mission and vision.
I’m not going to pretend that gender has zero influence on how someone gets along with their therapist. For example I sometimes hear from clients that they’d prefer to see a female therapist, and I can only assume that some clients would prefer to see a male therapist for a good number of reasons, too. As such, I’m proud to welcome Will onto our team, and I trust that his experience, insight, and expertise can meet your unique needs and goals, too.
Availability: At the time of this writing (subject to change), Will currently has openings Mondays and Fridays during the day, plus some evenings and weekends for both online (available to anyone in Ontario) and in-person sessions at our Markham office. Many of you have asked about extended hours, and I’m so pleased we can now offer this flexibility.
